TFM at 2018 Founders Day
Saturday, June 2nd

The Market will again have a float in the Tonasket Founders Day Parade. The parade starts at 11am, and we'll be handing out seeds from Heart of the Highlands, so look for our Farmers in the crowd as our float goes by! (And after the parade we will be selling the beautiful Dharma Farms plants used for float decor, so follow us down the road if you are interested buying.)

Board Secretary Tanya will be leading the float decorating this Friday afternoon, June 1st --meet up at 3:30 in Triangle Park if you'd like to help. Our sweet display will have a honey bee scene -- we have the beekeeper and suit, but still need to make little bee outfits for the children who will riding with the hive. There might be room for a couple more kids on the float--message Tanya Palomares on Facebook, or call her at 557-9782 if you'd like to participate in any aspect of Founders Day (especially if you have bee costume bits we can use :-)

FOODSTAMPS: Shoppers take their SNAP/EBT cards to our INFORMATION BOOTH and receive WOODEN TOKENS, good only at our Tonasket Farmers Market. SNAP Tokens can be accepted for all 'take home to eat' foodstuffs (produce, meat, cheese, canned and baked goods), but no hot/deli/restaurant items (like coffee and sandwiches), live animals, or plant starts. Note: Vendors cannot give change for these Tokens, so spend in whole dollar amounts only.

We also participate in Food For All’s FRESH BUCKS, a matching program which helps SNAP/EBT shoppers stretch their Market dollar by 40%! For every $5 of wooden SNAP Tokens purchased you get $2 in Fresh Bucks. Fresh Bucks can be used to purchase fruits, vegetables and edible plant starts.

Board meetings are held the 1st Monday of each month, at 1pm, at the CCC. Our meetings are open to the public, as the board strives to serve both its vendors and the customers who shop with us.

To fit your topic into the agenda, and do any necessary research, it helps to let us know beforehand. We ask you submit any grievance, complaint, or suggestion for improvement in writing. The board will discuss it at our very next meeting, and respond within a week after that meeting.
